Blue Pass 2000 (Zinc Chromating Process)
APPLICATIONS: Produces a very clear and pleasing blusih bright chrome - like colour on bright zinc deposits. Minimises finger marking and corrosion.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 4 gm/l + Nitric Acid – 12 to 15 ml/l, at room temperature, immerse for 5 to 30 seconds, pH 1.2 to 1.8, Corrosion Resistance (C.R.) up to 24 hours.
Passival CCD (Clear Passivation Process For Cadmium)
APPLICATIONS: Colourless clear passivation of bright or dull cadmium deposits. Gives excellent tarnish resistance and reduces alkali staining.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: 50 gm/l, at room temperature, immerse for 15 to 30 seconds, C.R. up to 24 hours.
Cadsal KP
APPLICATIONS: A final dip for bright and dull cadmium deposits preventing discolouration of the plated surface. Brightens dull deposits.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 30 ml/l, at room temperature, immerse for 10 to 15 seconds.
Passival ZL
APPLICATIONS: A liquid concentrate simply diluted to produce a low concentration, economical solution. Gives full iridescent passivation on zinc deposits, cadmium deposits and zinc diecastings. Suitable for manual and mechanised plant. May be bleached.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 12 to 15 ml/l manual operation or 10 to 20 ml/l for mechanical operation depending on dwell time + Nitric Acid – 3 to 5 ml/l, at room temperature, pH 0.8 to 1.25, immerse for 10 to 40 seconds. C.R 100 hours minimum. C.R. with bleach up to 75 hours.
Passival Z
APPLICATIONS: Full iridescent passivation on zinc deposits, cadmium deposits and zinc diecastings. For use on manual plant with short immersion time.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 100 gm/l, at room temperature, immerse for 5 to 15 seconds, C.R. 100 hours minimum.
Passn GN (Green Passivation Process)
APPLICATIONS: Produces true olive green colour on zinc plated articles. Can be applied directly to zinc based diecastins. Single liquid concentrate for simple make-up and maintenance. Can be used for rack and barrel.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 80 to 120 ml/l, at room temperature, pH 0.8 to 1.4, immerse for 1/2 to 2 minutes, C.R. up to 144 hours.
Passn BK 850 / 851 (Black Chromate Passivation Process)
APPLICATIONS: Produces intensely black, corrosion resistant passivation film on zinc deposits and zinc diecastings. Two liquid concentrates for simple make-up and maintenance. Rack or barrel use.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use Passn BK 850 – 100 ml/l + Passn BK 851 – 100 ml/l, at room temperature, pH 1.5 to 2, immerse for 1 to 4 minutes, C.R. up to 72 hours.

Trivalent chromium base chromate passivation process for zinc and zinc alloy deposits is environment friendly alternative to existing hexavalent chromium based passivations, which are known carcinogenic, major health and environment hazard. In response to new EU guidelines use of Cr+6 based Passivates are to be replaced with Cr+3 based ones. Passivates give improved corrosion resistance and are now well established alternative in auto and other industries. CMP has long proven products range in this category.

TriPass IR 100
APPLICATIONS: Silvery yellowish white finish with slight iridescent finish.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 100 ml/l, at 40 to 45°C keeping pH at 1.4 to 2, immersion time 30 to 90 seconds.
TriPass Blue 100
APPLICATIONS: Distinct blue colour with very attractive pleasing finish.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 20 to 40 ml/l, at 25 to 40°C keeping pH at 1.4 to 2, immersion time 30 to 90 seconds.
TriPass Super Blue 150
APPLICATIONS: Deep blue finish with higher corrosion resistance.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 140 to 160 ml/l, at 25 to 35°C keeping pH at 1.6 to 2.2, immersion time 30 to 90 seconds.
TriPass Blue 20
APPLICATIONS: Good blue colour with very attractive pleasing finish. Cost effective version for general purpose passivation.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 20 to 40 ml/l, at ambient temperature keeping pH at 1.4 to 2, immersion time 30 to 90 seconds.
Tripass Super NP 2212
APPLICATIONS: Yellowish iridescent coloured finish with higher corrosion resistance.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 100 to 120 ml/l, at ambient temperature keeping pH at 1.5 to 2.5, immersion time 40 to 80 seconds.
TriPass BK
APPLICATIONS: Deep black finish with very high aesthetic appeal, having good corrosion performance.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: TriPass BK A – 180 to 200 ml/l + TriPass BK B – 80 ml/l + TriPass BK C – 20 to 30 ml/l, pH (electrometric) 1 to 2, temperature 30 to 40°C, immersion time – 10 to 60 seconds.
Sealing Stage: (Sealing bath solution is to be prepared in a separate tank / container.)
MetaSeal 300 – 200 to 300 ml/l, at ambient temperature, immersion time 15 to 20 seconds.
Ebony Black (Zinc Blackening Process)
APPLICATIONS: Two stage process producing a rich black colour on zinc deposits and zinc alloy die castings.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Pre-dip stage 12 gm/l + Sulphuric Acid to pH 5.5, at 25 to 40°C, immerse for 2 minutes. Zinc Blackening stage 50 gm/l + Sulphuric Acid to pH 4.5, at 65 to 70°C, for 3 to 15 minutes.
Black Oxidising Salt for Steel - BOSS
APPLICATIONS: A high temperature process for producing a deep black finish on steel. Ideal for hand tools and small machine parts. They should be oiled or lacquered to preserve the coated finish.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 1100 gm/l, at 138 to 145°C, immerse for 10 to 15 minutes. Caution – operate this hot solution with care.
Nisal NG (Black Nickel Process)
APPLICATIONS: Produces a beautiful jet black finish. Ideal for decorative uses on articles as varied as giftware and tools. Can be plated onto brass or nickel plating, subsequently scratch brushed to produce attractive and modern effects. Used on optical equipments, nameplates and photomasks. Used as selective absorber on solar energy collector. Must be lacquered after plating to preserve finish.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 60 gm/l, at 15 to 20°C, 0.75 to 1 volts, with CCD 0.1 A/dm2, pH 5.8 to 6.0, immerse for 30 to 60 minutes cold. Maintenance: Nisal NGR Salt 1.5 to 3 gm/l.
Oxidising Salt for Copper and Silver
APPLICATIONS: Produces an oxidised burnished Finish (Brown or Black) on Copper, Silver and their plated articles.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: For oxidising Copper use 12 to 25 gm/l, at room temperature.
For oxidising Silver use 25 gm/l, at 50 to 60°C.
Passival CP (Colourless Passivation Process for Brass and Copper)
APPLICATIONS: Produces a clear passivation film which is resistant to tamishing, on solid copper, brass and bronze and electrodeposits of these metals.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 200 gm/l, at room temperature, immerse for 15 to 40 seconds.
Passival AG (Silver Passivation Process)
APPLICATIONS: One stage process for passivating silver plated decorative and Industrial silver depoosits to reduce tranishing. It has no effect on the colour of silver deposits and is suitable for dull, bright and polished coatings.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 100 gm/l, at room temperature, immerse for 1 to 2.5 minutes, with CCD 2.5 to 3 A/dm2, 4 to 6 volts.
Silvotarnil
APPLICATIONS: For anti tarnish coating on silver plated components.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 200 gm + Ammonia + Black Bronze Addition Agent, at room temperature to 50°C maximum, immerse for 5 seconds.
Cuprotarnil
APPLICATIONS: For anti tarnish coating on copper and copper plated components.
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Cleaned components to immerse for 10 to 20 seconds in Cuprotarnil solution (80 to 100 ml/l), at ambient temperature and then drained / dried.
Black Bronze for Brass
APPLICATIONS: Imparts an ebony black finish to brass articles which has no effect on surface texture. May be relieved. Should be lacquered to preserve the finish
OPERATING CONDITIONS: Use 200 gm/l + Ammonia + Black Bronze Addition Agent, at room temperature to 50°C maximum, immerse for 5 seconds.
